CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you try to install Microsoft Project Central on the same computer on which Microsoft Project Server is already installed. Microsoft Project Central and Microsoft Project Server cannot coexist on the same Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) computer. NOTE: You can install both your Microsoft Project Central and Microsoft Project Server databases to the same Microsoft SQL Server computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove Microsoft Project Central and Microsoft Project Server from the computer. After both programs have been removed, you can then reinstall Microsoft Project Server.

Install Microsoft Project Central on a different IIS server.
