NDS User Cannot Log On to CMS (323199)

SYMPTOMS

When a user from the Novell network tries to log on to the Content Management Server (CMS) Site Builder, the user may receive the following error message:
Could not log into Microsoft Content Management Server. Please see the details tab.

Error: 0
Description: 80010105: The server threw an exception.
Severity: 5

Debug Info: N/A

Client Source: Login::ctLogin_Click
Recommended Action: N/A

RESOLUTION

The current release of CMS 2001 does not support Novell Directory Service (NDS) authentication.

WORKAROUND

Migrate the NDS users from the NDS user repository to a Microsoft Windows NT domain. Add NDS users to the Users group in Windows NT on the domain.
