PRB: FAIL Message in Pup.log When You Unpack a Pupped BizDesk Application (323107)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Commerce Server 2002
This article was previously published under Q323107 SYMPTOMS
When you try to unpack a pupped BizDesk application, or when you try to unpack a BizDesk application to an existing virtual root where BizDesk files already exist, you receive the following FAIL message in the Pup.log file:
Begin: CreateProductCatalogsDir
FAIL unpack.vbs: 3A File already exists
FAIL unpack.vbs: 800700B7
End: CreateProductCatalogsDir
CAUSE
Because the ProductCatalogs directory already exists, the Commerce Server Site Packager fails when it tries to create this directory when it is unpacking the site. The existing sites are not changed, and the unpacking process is rolled back.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, review the existing sites, and determine which sites must be created.
MORE INFORMATION
The Commerce Server Site Packager log file (Pup.log) provides information about the errors and the successes that occur when you unpack a Commerce site.
