PRB: Direct Mail and Other Features Are Not Installed When You Upgrade to Commerce Server 2002 Standard Edition (323105)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Business Analytics option to upgrade a Commerce Server 2000 installation to Commerce Server 2002, some features such as Direct Mail are not installed. As a result, several upgrade options in the CS2002Ugrade.exe file and any Data Transformation Services (DTS) tasks that access the globalconfig part of the Admin object may fail.

CAUSE

Because Commerce Server 2002 Standard Edition does not install Direct Mail and Predictor Services, the global resources for these services are never installed.

WORKAROUND

Delete all site references to all of the global resources that have not been installed.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
