BUG: Pocket PC 2002: Rocker Does Not Scroll After You Send Mail (322997)

SYMPTOMS

After you send mail from the Inbox, the device rocker (that is, the navigation pad) does not scroll through the list of messages.

RESOLUTION

Use a hot key such as the Home key to move away from and then back to the Inbox. After this, you can use the navigation pad to scroll.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Tap Start, and then tap Inbox.
  2. Press the up and down arrows on the navigation pad to scroll up and down the list of messages (if you need to, add messages to see this behavior).
  3. Press the Action button to open the currently selected message.
  4. Tap the Reply icon, tap Forward, type your address, and then tap Send.
  5. Press the up and down arrows on the navigation pad. You cannot use the navigation pad to scroll through the message list.
