Titles of Documents in the Document Library Wrap to the Next Line (322984)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001
- Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001 SP1
This article was previously published under Q322984 SYMPTOMS When you view the list of documents in the document
library, the titles of the documents may unexpectedly wrap to the
next line. Additionally, the Title | Date,
Discuss, Subscribe, and Show
Actions sections may be displayed on separate lines on the
page.CAUSEThis problem may occur if the Author entry
in the Document profile of a document in the document library contains a large
number of characters, such as a very long name or a list of many names. On the
XSL style sheet, the table cell that contains the Author field
is configured to use the "nowrap" property. As a result, the
Author entries for documents in the document library are
displayed on a single line across the page. This causes other items on the page,
such as the title, to wrap to the next line. RESOLUTION To
resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SharePoint
Portal Server 2001. For additional information, click the following article
