PRB: BizTalk Accelerator for Suppliers Publication Does Not Detect Protocol Removal (322770)

SYMPTOMS

In some circumstances, you may add or remove protocols from BizTalk Accelerator for Suppliers. If you remove a protocol from the SE_Protocol table in the Microsoft SQL Server database, the profiles for the trading partners who use the protocol no longer appear in the BizDesk Trading Partner Manager module. However, these profiles continue to appear in the BizDesk Catalog Publisher module.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. In BizTalk Messaging Manager, create a transport channel and a port for a new trading partner.
  2. In the BizDesk Trading Partner Manager module, create a trading partner profile.
  3. In the BizDesk Catalog Publisher module, create a publication.
  4. Publish a catalog to verify that it is working properly.
  5. In SQL Server Enterprise Manager, delete the protocol that this trading partner uses from the SE_Protocol table in the SQL Server database for this supplier instance.
  6. In the Trading Partner Manager module, check the trading partner profile. Notice that the profile does not appear.
  7. Create a new catalog publication. Notice that the trading partner profile still appears in the Trading Partner list, even through this profile does not appear in the Trading Partner Manager module.
  8. Try to publish the broken application. Notice that you receive the following error message in the application event log:
    publish.asp: Failed to write exported catalog name to receive function directory:
