SUMMARY

When you upgrade your computer from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows 2000, where Windows Services For UNIX 3.0 is installed, you must first stop all Windows Services For UNIX installed services. If you do not stop the Windows Services For UNIX services, these services may be left in an unusable state.

MORE INFORMATION

Each service installed by Windows Services For UNIX includes a registry setting called ImagePath. The ImagePath value can be found at the following location:

HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ServiceName

The ImagePath value specifies the path and file name of the service executable. ImagePath requires updating during the Windows NT 4.0-to-Windows 2000 upgrade. To edit the value, you must first stop the service.
