FIX: Replication Queued Updating Supports Unique Constraints (322384)

This article was previously published under Q322384 BUG #: 357212 (SHILOH_BUGS) SYMPTOMS The Distribution Agent may fail and go offline with the
following error message: Violation of UNIQUE KEY
constraint 'xyz'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'looptest'. 2627
CAUSE This occurs when a unique constraint is defined on a
published article on the publisher and the subscriber when implementing
replication's queued updating feature.
NOTE: SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2, and earlier, does not provide
support for unique constraints defined on the published table at the publisher
and subscriber in a queued updating environment. This support is now offered in
SQL Server 2000 post-service pack 2 version 8.00.0621. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000. For additional information, click

SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3. The English version of this fix

This problem was first corrected in Microsoft SQL Server
2000 Service Pack 3.
