SYMPTOMS

When you try to use Real Player by RealNetworks, you may receive an error message that is similar to:
Real Player has encountered a problem and must be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If the error message is still displayed and if you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You then see error signature information that is similar to:

CAUSE

There are known compatibility issues with Real Player and Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

RealNetworks recommends that you install RealOne Player by RealNetworks. To obtain RealOne Player, visit the following RealNetworks Web site:
