When you try to quit Microsoft Word or close a Word document, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
MS Visual C ++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Winword.EXE
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the Works in Word Suite Add-in is installed on your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, remove the Works in Word Suite Add-in. To do this, follow these steps. After you remove the Works in Word Suite Add-in, Word may not be available from the Works Task Launcher.
NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps. - Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Works in Word Suite Add-in, and then click Change/Remove.
- Click OK to confirm the removal.
- Click Close.
- Restart your computer.
