Quicken 2001 for Windows May Cause an Error Message (321968)

SYMPTOMS

While you are using Quicken 2001 by Intuit on a Windows XP-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
qw.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If the error message is still displayed and if you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You then see error signature information that is similar to: 
   App name   App version   Module name    Module version   Offset
   -----------------------------------------------------------------
   qw.exe     10.0.2.1      kernel32.dll   5.1.2600.0       00016338

CAUSE

There is a known issue with Quicken 2001 and Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

As of May 1, 2002, Intuit does not have a solution for this issue on Windows XP. Visit the following Intuit Web site for Quicken 2001 technical support:
