The "Next" page link does not work in List view with "FilterValue = <DBCS-UTF8-Encoded>" (321655)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the double-byte character set (DBCS) characters for the filter in List view, the Next page link does not work correctly. When this problem occurs, no new items are listed on the Next page. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

There are no items to show in this view of the "<list-name>" list. To create a new item, click "New item" above.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the FilterValue1 query parameter of the Next link contains non-UTF8-encoded values.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the latest Microsoft Office XP Service Pack for SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft. You can locate this on the Office Updates Web site. The Office Updates Web site can detect the required updates that you must install on your computer. For additional information, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
