FP2002: New Posts to Discussion Web Do Not Appear in Browser Window After You Refresh the Page (321491)

The information in this article applies to:

  • FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions from Microsoft
  • FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions from Microsoft

This article was previously published under Q321491

SYMPTOMS

Your Microsoft FrontPage discussion Web may not be updated as you expect. For example, new posts to the Web do not appear in the browser window after you click Refresh the main page.

This behavior may occur after a visitor to your Web site replies to an article or posts a new article. It may occur even after you turn off the FrontPage built-in source control and perform a Recalculate Web operation on the server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, restart the server on which the discussion Web resides.

If you use FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions and the issue is not resolved after you restart the server, use Server Health to perform a detect-and-repair operation on the server, and then perform a Recalculate the Web operation. For more information about how to do this, see the "Monitoring Server Health" section of the following Microsoft Web site:
