This article was previously published under Q321443 SYMPTOMS
Internet Explorer 6.0 does not refresh the contents of a frame with an ActiveX document (.vbd file) as its only content after you cancel navigation in the onBeforeUnload event.
CAUSE
Internet Explorer 6.0 introduces a change to resolve an issue where the onBeforeUnload event is not always fired. The change that resolves this issue introduces the problem with refreshing a frame window that points to non-HTML content, such as an ActiveX document.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
