Host Integration Server 2000

To change the role of a Host Integration Server 2000-based computer, use the SNA Resource Location Wizard (Hisvrcfg.exe). You can also use the SNA Resource Location Wizard to configure the subdomain name, Active Directory support and network protocols. Note that any changes you make to the Resource Location Wizard do not take effect until you restart the SnaBase service.

Host Integration Server 2004

To change the server role of a Host Integration Server 2004-based computer, follow these steps:

1. If you are running Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004, and then click Configuration Wizard.
   
   If you are running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004, and then click Configuration Wizard.
2. Click Next five times. The Server Grouping dialog box appears.
3. Configure the server role by clicking either Primary or Backup, and then click Next.
4. Click Next four times, and then click Finish to close the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Configuration Wizard.

Note If you change the Snabase service account, the Configuration Wizard automatically stops and then restarts the Snabase service.
