This article was previously published under Q321398

SYMPTOMS

If your Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) mailbox exceeds the mailbox size limit, and you reply to a message or create a new message, you receive the following error message when you click Send:
You have Exceeded the Storage Limit on your mailbox. Delete some mail from your mailbox or contact your system administrator to adjust your storage limit.
When you dismiss the error message, the e-mail message body and the contents of the Subject box are still there, but all of the recipients that you entered in the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes have disappeared.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, delete some mail from your mailbox, and then also empty that mail from the Deleted Items folder. The Deleted Items folder counts toward the total size of the mailbox.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

If you click the To button to select recipients from the Global Address List, you receive the error message described in the "Symptoms" section of this article before the recipient's e-mail address is entered in the To, Cc, or Bcc box.
