CAUSE
This behavior may occur if your printer software is damaged
or out of date.
This behavior is known to occur with the following
Compaq printers:
- IJ 650
- IJ 1200
- IJ 1400P
- A1500
- A30
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods, as
appropriate to your situation.
NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the
following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your
product documentation to complete these steps.
Method 1
With the Compaq IJ-series printers, try setting the printer to
print directly to the printer:
- Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click your printer, and then click Properties.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click to select Print Directly to the
Printer.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
Method 2
Change the print processor setting to
WinPrint:
RAW so that the print processor does not change the document:
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Printers and
Faxes.
- Right-click your printer, and then click Properties.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Print Processor.
- In the Print processors list, click WinPrint.
- In the Default data type list, click RAW.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
Method 3
Contact the manufacturer for the latest drivers for your printer.
Most printer manufacturers have drivers which are available for download on the
manufacturers Web sites.
