FtpPutFile Returns Success Although the Operation Fails in Internet Explorer (321156)

SYMPTOMS

The Wininet.dll FtpPutFile API returns TRUE even when the operation fails. The operation may fail because of different reasons. For example, if the server disk is full, the server responds with:
426 Connection closed, transfer aborted
This symptom occurs more frequently with a file that is less than 4 kilobytes (KB).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer 6. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
