FIX: Server Appliance Kit Network File Service Shares Have Incorrect Permissions After Installing Fix from Q320175 (321096)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Server Appliance Kit (SAK), version 2.0

This article was previously published under Q321096

SYMPTOMS

The fix that is contained in Knowledge Base article Q320175 for Services For Unix (SFU) version 2.2 changes the way that Network File Service (NFS) stores the NFS share permissions. As a result, you cannot manage NFS share permissions by using the Server Appliance Kit (SAK) Web user interface.

NOTE: If you add a client permission that is the same as a client permission for ALL MACHINES, the share will be created with ALL MACHINES no access. This is a known issue with SFU and will be fixed in the next release of SFU.
