BUG: "Invalid Procedure Call or Argument" Error Message When You Load Japanese Business Desk on English-based Client Computer (320963)

When you try to install the Japanese version of the Business Desk application on an English-based client computer, you receive the following error message in the browser:
Invalid Procedure Call or Argument
Additionally, the three dialog boxes are not localized. Instead of displaying Japanese characters, the dialog boxes display question marks (?).
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Install the English version of the Business Desk application before you try to install the Japanese version of the application to make sure that the English HTML application host file is loaded on the computer.
- Open the Japanese Business Desk site.
- Select a path to load the Japanese Business Desk application.
- Click No two times when you are prompted to install the Business Desk HTML application and icon.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
