BUG: Discount Values Do Not Appear in the Business Desk Discount Editor (320962)

SYMPTOMS

When the Site default locale and the Base currency locale in the App Default Config resource for a Commerce Server 2002 site are not the same, the Business Desk may not display the value or the percentage off, and it is displayed as a required field (however, the discount is saved and should work properly). When you re-open the discount in the Business Desk, the value or percentage off is not displayed and you have to re-enter it to save any other changes that may have been made.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the Base currency locale and Site default locale resources for a Commerce Server site are not identical.

WORKAROUND

Set the the Base currency locale and Site default locale resources in Commerce Server Manager to the same value.

To modify the Base currency locale and Site default locale resources for a particular site:
  1. In Commerce Server Manager, expand the Commerce Server Manager Object.
  2. Expand the Commerce Sites Folder.
  3. Expand the Site Object for the specific site.
  4. Expand the Site Resources Folder.
  5. Right-click the App Default Config resource, and then click Properties.
  6. Modify the Base currency locale and Site default locale to be the same.
  7. Apply the changes.
  8. Restart Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Commerce Server 2002.
