Kodak Picture Transfer Causes an Error Message in Windows XP (320911)

SYMPTOMS

While you are using the Kodak Picture Transfer software on your Windows XP-based computer, you may receive the following error message:

PTSsvc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you view the data that the error report contains, the following error signature information may be listed:

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you are using a version of the Kodak Picture Transfer software that is not completely compatible with Windows XP.
