OL2000: You Cannot Copy an Attachment from One RTF Message to Another if the Original Message Is Closed (320784)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot copy an attachment from one Rich Text Format (RTF) message to another RTF message if the original message is closed.

This problem was corrected in Microsoft Outlook 2002.

Use one of the following methods to work around this problem:

Keep the original RTF message open when you copy or paste the attachment to another RTF message. -or-
Use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
