OL2002: MAPI Named Properties Appear Incorrectly When You View a Public Folder (320745)

SYMPTOMS

If you view a public folder that contains MAPI named properties, such as appointments, task, and user-defined fields, the data in the public folder may not appear correctly.

CAUSE

This problem may occur in a Microsoft Exchange Site that has multiple servers that house public folders with MAPI named properties. The client always correctly displays the public folder data on the first server where the public folder is opened. It does not correctly display data that is housed on a different server during the same client session.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Office XP service pack that contains this hotfix.

The Japanese version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
