After you apply the appropriate fix for your version of Internet Explorer, you can set a custom-retry interval for bad proxy servers under the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Create a
BadProxyExpiresTime DWORD value in this key, and assign a value of
0,
1, or another number to this value. Note that these values are in seconds.
