FIX: "No Lineup Records Found" Error Message When You Run the DTS Export Package (320452)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft TV Server

This article was previously published under Q320452

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Data Transformation Service (DTS) export package named EPG Import Master Import Package, the electronic program guide (EPG) export process fails while generating Preparsed TV Listings (PTL) files, and then you receive the following error message:
"No Lineup Records found"

CAUSE

The EPG export process fails because AT&T Broadband has changed the channel lineup. BayTV has been replaced by The FOOD Network, effective August 1, 2001. The error occurs because the custom headend for headend identifiers (IDs) c1020 and c1021 use the channel with Channel ID:8453866 and Call Letters:BAYTV at tuner position 35 (as shown on the spreadsheet MiniInternalHeadEndData.xls). These settings must be changed to Channel ID:7570688 and Call Letters:FOOD.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the latest service pack for Microsoft TV Server.

STATUS

This problem was corrected in Microsoft TV Server 1.0 Service Pack 2.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft TV Server 1.0 includes a MiniInternalHeadEndData.xls file that contains a sample custom Channel Lineup. Each deployment customizes this spreadsheet for the applicable channel lineup. This problem occurs only if you use the sample spreadsheet (such as for trade shows and sales demonstrations).

Because deployments customize MiniInternalHeadEndData.xls, the Service Pack 2 installer does not overwrite this file. Instead, Service Pack 2 provides a new version of this file (SampleMiniInternalHeadEndData.xls), which includes The FOOD Network instead of BayTV.

To use the sample EPG Lineup that is included with Microsoft TV Server, in the TVPakServerRoot\Database\Epg_db\DBInitData folder, rename the file SampleMiniInternalHeadEndData.xls to MiniInternalHeadEndData.xls.

If you already have customized MiniInternalHeadEndData.xls to include your own lineup, you do not have to change this file. The headend administrator, who maintains the lineup at the headend, updates this spreadsheet whenever there are changes to the lineup.
