Yahoo! Companion May Cause an Error Message in Windows XP (320313)

SYMPTOMS

If you try to use Yahoo! Companion, your computer may become unstable, or you may receive an error message that is similar to:
Yahoo! CompanionXXXXX has encountered a problem and must be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If the error message is still displayed and if you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You then see error signature information that may be similar to:

CAUSE

Yahoo! Companion version 1.0.1.2 is not completely compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

Yahoo! is aware of this issue and is working on a solution. To determine if a resolution is available, contact Yahoo! by using their Web site.
