XADM: Errors -610 and -107 When You Try to Do Hard Recovery (319882)

When you try to do a hard recovery (the process of bringing the database to a consistent state after a restore procedure), you may receive the following error message:
Error returned from an ESE function call (-610). Operation terminated with error -107 (JET_errInternalError, Fatal internal error)
The application log may show the following log entry:
Event ID: 457
Source: Logging/Recovery
Description: Information store (3100). The log signature of the existing logfile E00.log doesn't match the logfiles from the backup set.
Logfile replay cannot succeed unless all signatures match.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove the following log files from the Exchsrvr\MBDDATA folder:
E00.log
E00.chk
Res1.log
Res2.log
: There may be similarly named files located elsewhere on your computer. Remove only the files in the Exchsrvr directory or its subfolders.
