Bonzi Web Compass or BonziBUDDY May Cause an Error Message (319670)

SYMPTOMS

You may receive one of the following error messages:
Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

CAUSE

These error messages may occur if you have ever installed BonziBUDDY from Bonzi.com on your computer. The error messages are caused by Bonzi Web Compass, which is installed when you install or upgrade BonziBUDDY. If you remove BonziBUDDY, Bonzi Web Compass is not removed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove both BonziBUDDY and Bonzi Web Compass, and then confirm that this corrects the problem. If you want to continue to use BonziBUDDY or Bonzi Web Compass, obtain and install the latest version of BonziBUDDY, which includes Bonzi Web Compass, and then determine if the latest version corrects the problem. If, after you install BonziBUDDY, you decide you do not want to use one or both of these programs, remove the program that you do not want by using the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.
