Pd.exe Causes an Error Message in Windows XP (319605)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to save a .bmp file as a .pdd file in Adobe PhotoDeluxe version 1.0.128.0, you may receive the following error message:
Pd.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you view the data that the error report contains, you may receive the following error signature information:
   App Name  App Version  Module Name  Module Version  Offset
   ------------------------------------------------------------
   Pd.exe    1.0.128.0    Ntdll.dll    5.1.2600.0      00001ec7
				

CAUSE

This issue may occur because the Adobe PhotoDeluxe version 1.0.128.0 program is not completely compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install the most current Windows Compatibility Update from the Critical Updates section of the following Microsoft Web site:
