SYMPTOMS

After you install the Novell Network Client 4.8 for Windows NT/2000, you cannot access any network resources, including mapped network drives. If you try to open the Printers folder, you computer may stop responding.

If you remove the Novell Network Client 4.8 for Windows NT/2000 from your computer, network access and printing return to typical behavior.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when Novell Network Client 4.8 for Windows NT/2000 causes a conflict with another component.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, you must download the latest version of Nwws2nds.dll for the Novell Client 4.8 for Windows NT/2000. To do this, visit the following Novell Web site: On the Novell Web page, search for "Nwws2nds.dll" or "2958354".
