Windows Management Instrumentation Cannot Register Permanent Event Consumer with Dynamic Classes (319322)

SYMPTOMS

Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) in Windows XP may not successfully register permanent event consumers. This problem is specific to permanent event consumers that receive intrinsic events from dynamically-generated classes (class provider). Note that this problem does not affect temporary event consumers.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
