FIX: SAK System Will Blue Screen If Driver Verifier Is Turned on (319185)

SYMPTOMS

If Hardware Compatibility Test (HCT), version 10 Driver Verifier is turned on for the file VmSftPwr.sys, and the machine is rebooted, the system performs a bug check.

RESOLUTION

A fix is available for this problem. Contact Microsoft Developer Support to obtain the fix. A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Server Appliance Kit that contains this hotfix.
