SYMPTOMS

The playback quality of Microsoft Windows Media (WMV) files is noticeably lower on SH-4 processor-based platforms than the playback quality of the same WMF file when it is played on other processors with the same version of the Microsoft Windows CE operating system. Quality is also lower than similar MPEG1 media files.

RESOLUTION

Prerequisites

This fix is supported only when all previously issued fixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this fix.
