Visio2000: Horizontal Bands in Cross-Functional Flowchart Do Not Print Correctly (318860)

If you try to print a Microsoft Visio cross-functional flowchart that contains horizontal bands with color shading, the bands may not print correctly. For example, the color shading in the bands is correct on the first page of the printout, but the shading on subsequent pages is missing.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
- Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) is applied to your Visio installation.
-and-
- You use one of the following printers:
NEC Superscript 660
Lexmark Z52
The printer driver that is installed for the printer may be incompatible with Visio 2000 SR-1.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods, as appropriate to your situation:
- Revert to the non-SR-1 version of Visio 2000.
