SYMPTOMS

When you are working in Microsoft Visio 2002, you may receive the following error message:
VISIO caused a General Protection Fault in module NVDISP.DRV at 001.0000b4d1.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if an NVIDIA video card is installed in your computer, and the driver for the video card is damaged or incompatible with Visio 2002.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, update your video-card driver. To do this, browse to the following NVIDIA Web site, and then follow the instructions to update your driver:
