When you start or use Microsoft Picture It!, you receive one of the following error messages:
PIP has caused an error in GDI.exe.
-or-
PIP has caused an invalid page fault in module GDI.EXE.
CAUSE
These error messages can occur because your video adapter driver has been damaged or is incompatible with other programs that are installed on your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, update your video adapter driver. To identify your video adapter and update the driver, follow these steps. NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps. - Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
- Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
- Click the Adapter tab.
- Note the information in the Adapter Type section.
- Connect to the World Wide Web and go to the support site for your video adapter manufacturer, and then locate the most recent driver for your video adapter.
NOTE: There is a large variety of video adapters and drivers. Make sure that you get the correct driver for your specific video adapter. - Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to download and install the driver.
