The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000
This article was previously published under Q318126 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to install a Host Integration Server 2000 End-User
Client installation that has been assigned or published through the
Microsoft Windows IntelliMirror feature, and you do not have
administrative rights, you receive the following error message:
Installer Information
You must be logged on to this computer as a local or domain
administrator in order to run Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000
End-User Client setup.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Host Integration Server 2000 End-User
Client Windows Installer package explicitly checks to determine whether
the user running the package has administrative rights. This causes the
error message described in the "Symptoms" section of this article, even
though Windows Installer packages published or assigned through
IntelliMirror are installed by using elevated privileges.
