SYMPTOMS

Data loss may occur if all of the following conditions exist:
  • A bind of a listen socket is completed in a parent process.
  • An accept is completed in a child process.
  • Fast sends are happening.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 1.
