SYMPTOMS
Outlook 2000 may quit with an access violation when you
click
Exit or
Exit and Log Off on the
File menu if the following circumstances are true:
- You started Outlook 2000 by using the Windows 32-bit
application programming interface (API) ShellExecute() or CreateProcess() functions. -and-
- You are running Outlook 2000 in Corporate Workgroup (CW)
mode.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest
service pack for Microsoft Office 2000. For additional information, click the

After the hotfix is installed, the English version
of this fix will have the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the
following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated
universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to
local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the
Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

NOTE: Before you install this hotfix, you must update Outlook 2000 to
at least Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP-1).
