PRB: You Cannot Start BizTalk Orchestration Designer (317773)

SYMPTOMS

In BizTalk Server 2000, you may be unable to start BizTalk Orchestration Designer.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you have uninstalled Microsoft Office 2000. When you uninstall Microsoft Office 2000, one or more of the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) files that BizTalk Orchestration Designer uses may be deleted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, reinstall the missing VBA file:
  1. Insert the Microsoft Office 2000 CD into your CD-ROM drive.
  2. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
  3. Browse to drive_letter:\Install\BIN\SP\VBA, where drive_letter is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
  4. Right-click the Vba6.msi file, and then click Install.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
