PRB: MSXML 3.0 Service Packs Are Removed If You Uninstall BizTalk Server 2000 Service Packs (317760)

SYMPTOMS

If you uninstall any Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 service packs, Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Setup reverts any installed Microsoft XML (MSXML) 3.0 service packs back to the original installation bits for Microsoft XML 3.0.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because BizTalk 2000 installs the MSXML 3.0 bits by default.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft recommends that you re-apply any installed service packs for MSXML 3.0 if you decide to uninstall any BizTalk Server 2000 service packs.
