SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Electronic Arts Sports FIFA 2002, you may receive the following error message:
Fifa2002.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you view the data that the error report contains, the following error signature information may be listed:

CAUSE

This issue may occur because the default 3DFX Glide drivers that are used by FIFA 2002 are not compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, run the "FIFA 2002 3D Setup" program, and then select the device with the Direct 3D '[D3D]' suffix.
