XCCC: When You Use Outlook Web Access the Delete Button is Unavailable in the Meeting Request Copy Sent to a Delegate (317681)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Outlook Web Access (OWA) client to access an Exchange 2000 Server computer, the Delete button is unavailable in the meeting request copy sent to a delegate.

If UserA delegates UserB to receive copies of meeting requests sent to UserA, after UserB uses OWA to open the copy of the meeting request, the Delete (X) button is unavailable if the meeting request message is open in OWA.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, after you close the meeting request message in OWA, you can delete the meeting request message. To do so:
  • Select the message, and then press the DELETE key.

    -or-

  • Select the message, and then click Delete on the toolbar.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

MORE INFORMATION

Internet Explorer 5, Internet Explorer 5.5, and Internet Explorer 6.0 displays this problem when you use OWA to access Exchange 2000 Server.
