FIX: Windows XP Embedded Japanese Command Console Does Not Have Input Method Editor (317608)

This article was previously published under Q317608 SYMPTOMS When a user works in the command console on a Japanese XP
Embedded runtime, an input method editor (IME) is not available. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Download the Japanese Windows XP Embedded QFE HotFix,
Q317618.exe.
