This article was previously published under Q317430

SYMPTOMS

The Regional Settings dialog box in Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 displays samples of a positive and a negative currency for various selected language settings. However, the labels on the samples are reversed:
  • Negative currency is labeled Positive currency.
  • Positive currency is labeled Negative currency.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem does not reflect any incorrect calculations. Labels are just misplaced in the Regional Settings dialog box. Users have no reason to be concerned about calculation of currencies in any other parts of the Pocket PC 2002 device.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Tap Start, and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap the System tab.
  3. Tap the Regional Settings icon.
  4. View the items labeled Positive currency and Negative currency.

When you select any language in the drop-down list, an example of a negative currency appears next to the label Positive currency, and vise versa.
