PRJ2000: The Resource Pool Assignment Information Is Lost (317304)

SYMPTOMS

If multiple users share a resource pool in Project 2000 and have the resource pool open at the same time, the last user who saves changes back to the resource pool may overwrite all the changes that were saved by the other users.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if both the following conditions are true:
  • Multiple users share the same resource pool.
  • The resource pool is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.
