LDAP Exchange Server Management Agent Logs Constraint Violation Error 19 (317135)

If you run the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 management agent, the following error may be logged:
Constraint Violation error 19
CAUSE
By default, the LDAP Exchange Server management agent discovers the organization attribute ( O) from Exchange Server 5.5. The error that is described in the preceding section is logged if you try change the flow of the organization attribute back to Exchange Server 5.5 by using the following attribute flow rule:
If you use this attribute flow rule, Exchange Server uses the organization attribute as part of the users' distinguished name (DN) and it describes the site name of the server that is running Exchange Server. Exchange Server does not allow Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) to modify this attribute.
RESOLUTION
To prevent this error from being logged, remove any attribute flow rules that try to modify the organization attribute in Exchange Server.

The constraint violation is not limited to the organization attribute. This behavior may also occur for the country name attribute. MMS has several ways to record this value in Exchange Server (for example, the value for the United States may be US, United States, or 840). Additionally, the attribute may require a different attribute name (c or co or countryCode). A constraint error may occur if MMS sends the US value when the attribute requires the 840 value.
To troubleshoot all of the attribute values that are being sent to Exchange Server, view the create files (Create, Create.ou, Create.lst, and Export) in the management agent's working folder, and then make sure that all of the data, such as the object class and the attribute values, match with the Exchange Server schema.
