ACC2002: Objects in Database Appear Underlined (317123)

This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and to a Microsoft Access project (.adp).

SYMPTOMS

When you view your database or project in the Database window, you may notice that your database object names appear underlined.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the setting for single-click navigation is turned on.

RESOLUTION

To turn off single-click navigation, follow these steps:
  1. Open your database.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. In the Options dialog box, click the View tab.
  4. Under Click options in database window, click Double-click open. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

  1. Open any database.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. In the Options dialog box, click the View tab.
  4. Under Click options in database window, click Single-click open. Click Apply, and then click OK.
Notice that your objects appear underlined, and that they open when you click them once.
